Using Brinkboard

Brinkboard.ai lets you track tasks, give them to other people by email or text, and see whether they moved. You need to be 13 or older to have an account. You are responsible for what you put in Brinkboard.ai and for keeping your sign-in safe. Please do not use it to break the law, to send spam or harassment, to attack the service, or to store protected health information (see the privacy policy).

Your content

Your tasks, notes and contacts are yours. You give Brinkboard.ai permission to store them and show them to the people you assign them to, so the service can work. When you give a task to someone, you confirm you are allowed to share their email address or phone number for that purpose.

Subscriptions

Some features are paid. Subscriptions bought in the iPhone app are charged and managed by Apple. You can cancel in your Apple account settings. The details of any plan are shown where you buy it.

The service

We work to keep Brinkboard.ai running and accurate, but it is provided “as is,” without promises that it will always be available or error free. Do not rely on it alone for anything where a missed or late task could cause serious harm. To the extent the law allows, Brinkboard LLC is not liable for indirect or lost-profit damages from using the service. You can stop using Brinkboard.ai and delete your account in the app at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

SMS messaging terms

If you or someone you work with uses Brinkboard.ai texting, these terms apply to the text messages.

• Program name: Brinkboard.ai task texts.
• What it is: task hand-offs and follow-ups. When a Brinkboard.ai user gives you a task, we send you a text with the task and a link, short follow-ups if it has no update, and you can reply by text to update the task. No marketing messages are sent.
• Consent: texts are sent only to people the sender has confirmed agreed to receive them. Your first text asks you to reply YES; no other texts are sent unless you do. Consent to texts is not a condition of buying anything. You must be 18 or older, or have a parent or guardian’s consent, to receive Brinkboard.ai task texts.
• How often: message frequency varies with the tasks you are given: up to 5 texts per task (the task and its reminders), sent between 8am and 8pm your time.
• Cost: Msg & data rates may apply. Brinkboard.ai does not charge you to get task texts, but your mobile carrier may charge for messages and data.
• Stop: reply STOP at any time to cancel (UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END and QUIT also work). You will get one message confirming it, and then no more texts. Reply START to turn them back on.
• Help: reply HELP, or email support@brinkboard.com.
• Carriers: mobile carriers and Brinkboard.ai are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• Privacy: we never sell or share mobile numbers or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing. See the privacy policy for how we handle your number and messages.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when they were last updated.
